Our Doctor and Staff

Douglas Lippert, DMD, FAGD, D.ABDSM

I have been a dentist for over 20 years. Born and raised in North Huntingdon and a graduate of Norwin High School, I have proudly served the area for over a decade and will continue to do so for many years to come. It is important to me that I remain aware of and use the most up-to-date advancements in dentistry to better serve my patients and provide you with the best quality of care.

In order to do this, I:

  • Successfully completed hundreds of hours of advanced post graduate courses in disciplines including sleep disorder breathing, cosmetic dentistry, smile reconstruction, and sedation dentistry
  • Complete continuing education credits each year
  • Am practiced in multiple areas of dentistry from cosmetic and restorative dentistry to braces, clear orthodontic aligners, root canals, implants, and oral appliances for sleep apnea

Education

1998 Graduated with honors from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Biological Sciences

2002 Earned my DMD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, one of the finest dental schools in the country

2003 Completed a General Practice Residency at the Louis Stokes Department of Veteran’s Affairs in Cleveland, OH

I will

  • Listen to understand your concerns and goals
  • Perform a comprehensive and thorough examination
  • Review and discuss the diagnosis and treatment options with you
  • Understand that anxiety is often associated with dental treatment
  • Never judge or talk down to you
  • Take steps to ease and eliminate your fears
  • Discuss sedation options
  • Make your dental visit as comfortable as possible

Recognition

My commitment to providing the highest quality of care to my patients was rewarded in 2010 when I achieved a Fellowship Award from the Academy of General Dentistry at their formal ceremony in New Orleans, LA.

Achieving Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry is one of the few added distinctions that a general dentist can achieve. Only 7% of general dentists have achieved this honor.

I am a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine. This designation signifies a professional commitment to education, knowledge, and experience in dental sleep medicine.

I am proud to serve as the Norwin School Dentist, a role appointed by the Norwin Board of Education in 2017.

About Me

My wife and I have been happily married for over 16 years. Together we have three beautiful children.

In my free time I enjoy attending Pitt sporting events, especially football and soccer games. My family and I enjoy getaways. Walt Disney World and Universal Studios are two of our favorite places.

I am a prolific Disney memorabilia collector, an expert in Star Wars canon and an avid roller coaster enthusiast. I also enjoy debating the merits of comic book art vs. traditional art with my wife.

We are sorry to see Dr. Ariee go, but we wish her luck in pursuing educational opportunities.
